Visit www.pittsburghbluesconnection.com and click on "What You Missed" for a nice review of the Dave Iglar Band show at the Carnegie Arts and Heritage festival in September. Excerpt: The band "put on another foot-stomping show for the jam-packed street audience that evening. ... Dave again was down in the the crowd playing and firing up the fans as he usually does with his lightning guitar work. The bass, the keyboards, drums and sax all [were] cranking out the blues and other fine tunes with Dave, and having a lot of fun doing it."
Listen to an audio clip of Dave Iglar talking about the music scene at the bygone concert venue Mancini's Lounge, McKees Rocks: www.wyep.org/music/ppp/page4.php. The radio segment features original music that Dave recorded live with Force Field at Mancini's in 1983, as well as Dave's song "Sargassa" from his 1997 release "As the Fuse Burns." The spot also includes interviews with Billy Price and the Mancini family. Local radio station WYEP-91.3fm produced the segment as part of the Pittsburgh Performance Project, a celebration of Pittsburgh's 250th anniversary. Cool!
